Meet our Governors
Meet our Governing body
The Role of the Governing Body
The role of the Governing Body is to support the school in providing the best possible education for our pupils. The Governing Body is a corporate entity and acts as a group. The strength of the Governing Body lies in the talents of its members, and their ability to work together as a team. Governors are elected or appointed by different groups including parents, teachers, LEA, and the Diocese.
Mr Craft – Headteacher
Mr Lopez – Chair of Governors - Child Protection, Healthy and Safety
I would like to take this opportunity introduce myself, my name is George Lopez and I have been the Chair of Governors and a Foundation Governor at St Peters’ for coming up to three years. Previous to this I was a parent governor for two years. I am married with two children, my daughter has moved through the school and is starting year 8 at All Saints and my son has just started in year 6 at St Peters’. I am a Director of my own company which has been established for the past 12 years, in the Training Industry. I feel I am an effective team player, with good listening skills and am able to bring a logical and structured approach to most situations. As well as being the Chair of the Governing board I also have the responsibility of Health and Safety Governor.
As chair I attend all committee meetings/full governing body meetings and visit the school on a regular basis to receive updates on school progress, supporting Mr Craft, The Senior Leadership Team and the staff. The role of the Governors is to support & challenge ensuring our school runs in a smooth, safe, efficient and legal way. We regularly offer our thanks and appreciation to the staff for all their hard work, along with putting forward new ideas for the school, and feeding back any concerns we feel our school faces.
I personally believe that we as governors make a positive contribution to the future development and continuing success of St Peters’ R.C. Primary School, as I am committed to ensuring our children receive the best education and opportunities available to them at all times.

My name is Lynn Barnes and I have been employed as a teaching assistant at St Peter’s RC School for fifteen years. I am currently working in Year 6, but during my time at the school I have worked in every year group. The most rewarding and satisfying part of my job is seeing the children that I work with flourish, particularly when I have seen them through from Early Years to Year 6.I am also the joint Co-ordinator and Facilitator for the Rainbows Bereavement Support Group. Rainbows is a well respected national charity which offers support to children and young people grieving a significant and sometimes devastating loss in their lives.

Mr Casey - Foundation Governor
Hello, my name is Conor Casey, and I have recently been appointed as a Foundation Governor for St Peters Primary School. I attended St Peters myself with my three siblings and am now a Police Officer within the Territorial Support Group of the Metropolitan Police. I have previously visited the school in my capacity as a Police Officer, to demonstrate the role of the police within the wider community. I am looking forward to being able to support the school I grew up in, and I am excited to get to know everyone, especially the children.
Mrs Quadri - Foundation Governor
Hi my name is Temi Quadri and I was recently appointed as a Foundation Governor at St Peter's. I have two young sons who both attend St Peter's and are in key stage 1. I have over five years experience of working with children and young adults between the ages of 1 to 21 years. My experiences encompass mentoring, tutoring and as a Special Education Needs TA within Mainstream/SEN schools, PRUs and Youth Residential Units. Likewise, I often volunteer at the school to help some children with their reading. As a parent, I value education highly and would work to keep the standard of education offered at St Peter's to a high standard for the benefit of all pupils.
Mrs Osinloye – Foundation Governor - ICT
My name is Kemi Osinloye. I was appointed parent governor in 2013. I qualified as a software analyst in 2004 but gave that up in 2013 to start up my own business and spend more time with my children.
As a parent governor, I attend full governing body meetings as well as visiting the school regularly. I sometimes volunteer at the school to help with reading. The past year I have spent as a Parent governor of St Peter’s RC School has been rewarding, challenging and very enjoyable.
Mrs Oliver – Foundation Governor - Anti-Bullying
I have been a staff governor at St. Peter’s for 4 years. My term of office expires August 2015 but have been invited to continue on the Board of Governors as a Foundation Governor. I am married with two adult daughters and was a governor at their primary school for 8 years. My role is HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) and have been employed at St. Peter’s since September 2000. I am very passionate about St. Peter’s and dedicated in my roles both as governor and HLTA. My responsibility is as Behaviour Governor which includes anti-bullying. I believe that good behaviour is essential in order to educate our children to their best ability. I attend all the School Improvement Committee meetings and Full Governing Body meetings to ensure that St. Peter’s is a good school and continues to be so.
Mrs Seamen – Staff Governor
This is my third year acting as the staff representative on St. Peter’s Governing Body. I have been working as a class teacher at St. Peter’s for six years and much of my life is devoted to the well-being of the children here and making sure they get the best education possible. I have taught across the key stages and am currently a Reception class teacher. My role as a Governor includes focusing on the Literacy development in the school, and promoting positive and effective relationships between the staff and Governing body. We are all working together to make St. Peter’s the best it can be.
