The children in year 5 were performing role plays inferring a character's feelings, actions and motives and justifying them using the text.  This was based on our core text this term, “There’s A Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom” by Louis Sachar.

In groups of three, children performed miniature conscience alleys as Bradley with an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other; the angel trying to convince Bradley to be good, and the devil doing the opposite.
