Design Technology

Design and Technology is about designing and making something of purpose and with a practical use. It involves investigating, planning, evaluating and using a wide range of materials in different situations. As part of our broad based curriculum, D&T makes an important contribution. It ensures that our children are given opportunities to use their imagination and creativity. Also, it develops key practical skills such as using tools safely.

 Our intent is to give the children opportunities to create a range of products such as bags, boxes, toys, models, shelters and cards.

Finally, the children need to understand about food and nutrition. They will be expected to learn some key culinary skills through preparing mainly savoury dishes.
