Geography

At St Peter’s our goal is to provide children with Geography lessons and experiences that open their minds to the wonder of our world.

Each term, children will explore a new, exciting Geography topic that develops their locational knowledge, place knowledge, and understanding of the human physical features of geography, as well as a variety of other geographical skills. In EYFS and Key Stage 1, children begin to build a solid image of where they live and the places around them, growing wider as they explore places further away moving through Key Stage 2.

Eventually, by the end of their time at St Peter’s, we want our children to have built on a wide variety of skills that support them as geographers in the future, but ultimately to have love, curiosity and a developed understanding of the wonderful world they live in.
