Welcome to Early Years
The Early Years Foundation Stage is the period of education from birth to 5 years. At St Peter’s, it begins in the Nursery class and ends in Reception.
The DFE introduced a new Early Years framework in 2021, which has a strong emphasis on learning through play, both child initiated and planned play. We deliver the curriculum through a combination of whole class activities, adult led focused activities and child initiated activities.
We have a very dedicated team who are committed to providing a nurturing and positive learning environment, where each child is encouraged to feel happy and confident to develop to their full potential.
All staff are skilled in expertly guiding your child through the wonders of learning whilst playing. Our staff are dedicated to treating your child with warmth, care and respect, modelling and encouraging Christian values.
